Jamii in collaboration with kingdom lighthouse and brown university lifespan sickle cell department on August 12th 2023 for a community health wellness where we created awareness with teachings on preventive medicine including topics such as hypertension diabetes, heart disease and sickle cell disease.
About 30 people were seen. Free blood pressure and glucose monitoring devices were given to patients who needed it. Also patients were appropriately referred to clinic Program lasted 10 am to 1 pm.
August 12th 2pm to 4pm, Jamii collaborated with Brown university lifespan sickle cell department along with Oasis International African Bash and Brown university African students. About 30 local individuals were seen and taken care of.
Program was graced by the active providence city mayor Brett Smiley and his general treasurer James A. Diossa. Alot of free blood pressure equipments and glucose monitoring devices were given away.
On August 26th from 12 pm to 3pm, Jamii again collaborated with a Restoration Worship which is a regional church located in Providence, Rhode Island.
On August 13th, 2022 Jamii Foundation assisted restoration worship Church in Providence, Rhode Island to provide medical care to the neighborhood. We checked blood pressure, glucose and provided medical counseling. We also connected with some of the locals nearby that didn’t have primary care providers. We are happy to have provided care to over 20+ people who attended!
