Throughout my years of training in medicine, I have witnessed increased rate of chronic illness and death rate among the underserved community. Most were plaque by poorly managed diabetes hypertension and heart disease. I realized a lot of this was as a result of poor medical literacy.

Julvet Mbianda, MD. Co Founder and Vice President

Dr Mbianda is a compassionate an dedicated cardiologist with over a decade experience in medical care and community service. He has extensive experience in healthcare and has seen first hand the often difficult complications of cardiovascular disease. It is for this reason that Dr Mbianda has made it his life mission to educate individuals especially in underserved communities about the importance of maintaining a healthy heart and preventing the complications of heart disease which is the number killer in the world

Mirabel Nkenke, Head of Strategy and Operations

Mirabel Nkenke is a recent MBA graduate from Georgetown McDonough School of Business. Her background spans from Strategy and Operations at tech companies to project management at public affairs firms. Mirabel is passionate about helping other people and has worked on multiple social justice campaigns. Jamii Foundation is an initiative that Mirabel is thrilled to offer her business experience to help grow the foundation’s impact to helping others.
